How Futurety Spent Covid: Developing Non Traditional Talent

How it Started:

We recognize that college is not for everyone, there are so many different opportunities for young people to take these days. At the same time, there is a huge labor shortage in areas like data analytics and digital marketing. With our friends at TalentID Group, we launched TalentID Academy. The program recruits graduating high school seniors and unemployed or underemployed adults.

We licensed a proven college curriculum, brought on an extremely qualified instructor, and set out to prepare for our first class for a career in the high-demand area of marketing data analytics.

This was a new and exciting way for our company to get involved and impact the local community and encourage people to enter a new and expanding field. How it’s Going:

We successfully launched our first cohort in partnership with Franklinton High School. The first students have graduated from the program and all are working at great jobs!

The State of Ohio is focusing on technical career training programs as students are looking for alternatives to college to find successful jobs and careers. The success of the Academy is going to be determined by the upcoming State budget. Most students don’t have the financial wherewithal to fund the costs of the instructor and curriculum license so we are dependent on outside funding to continue the program.
